About the Artist

Charles Adam Johnson, a resident from Washington State, has professionally been performing magic around the world for over 25 years.

He started right after high school, learning mostly from tricks he read about in books and visiting the local magic store.

He found his calling after witnessing another magician. The magic was amazing an audience, the laughter and happiness brought out by the showman’s tricks was alluring to Johnson, and he immediately got to work.

Better known today by the stage name Adam the Great, his act is described as a mixture of improvisation, skits and, of course, some magic. The show is driven by the reaction of audience members and the connection with people to elicit a positive reaction.

He is a two-time Department of Defense Entertainer providing comedy relief with magic for troops and their families overseas.

Adam the Great has been described as a magician who doesn’t take himself too seriously. “It’s an accurate description”, proclaimed by Adam, “because that’s how magicians let their magic be funny.”
