
The Washington State Fair Event Center (WSFEC) is hiring a Plumber Helper/Trades Laborer to support the Operations team with plumbing, maintenance, and general labor tasks across the campus. This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience in plumbing and skilled trades while working alongside experienced tradespeople in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The position assists with plumbing repairs, basic installation projects, grounds maintenance, and event setup and teardown. Training and guidance are provided, offering opportunities to develop trade skills while contributing to the successful operation of a large public venue. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, including tasks outside the primary scope of work, to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
The Washington State Fair Event Center is hiring seasonal Barns Night Crew members to support evening and night-time operations during Spring Fair. This role is responsible for closing and monitoring barns after public hours, ensuring the safety, security, and overall welfare of animals and equipment.
Grandstand ushers greet guests and scan tickets upon entry, provide directions and venue information, including seating assignments, restroom locations, merchandise purchases, and other general inquiries. Grandstand ushers are responsible for ensuring guest safety and creating a positive experience through prompt and professional responses to guest concerns or issues as they arise.

Oktoberfest Northwest is the largest Munich-style celebration at a venue in the state and features three days of great food, drinks, entertainment and activities for all ages. Holiday Magic is a festive winter experience filled with lighted displays, ice skating, live nativity animals, festive food and drinks, rides, a night market a more!
In July 2022, The Taste Northwest had its inaugural year at the Washington State Event Center. Formerly, The Taste of Tacoma, a popular food and entertainment event since 1986, it has found a new home. The three-day extravaganza welcomes a diverse array of restaurants, food trucks, music and other activities for all ages.
