About the Artist

Imagine if Neil Young and Janis Joplin had three love children who grew up on a mix of folk rock and hip hop. The Junebugs blend high-energy pop and rock with Pacific Northwest folk influences to create a genre-bending sound you can kick up your heels to.

Originally formed on the Vancouver, B.C. circuit before returning home to Portland, Oregon, the band features guitarist Barrett, drummer Kyle Owen, and bassist Nathaniel Daniel. Together, they form a dynamic trio with an eclectic repertoire that spans Tom Petty, TLC, and Lorde—bridging turn-of-the-century Americana with modern hip hop, all tied together with rich vocal harmonies.

Their original music carries a dreamy, sweet quality reminiscent of Neil Young and Iron & Wine, layered with energetic banjo lines and a vibrant, modern edge. With something for everyone, The Junebugs deliver a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly unique.
