Paradosi Ballet Company is a touring Christian dance ministry that uses ballet as a tool for worship, evangelism, and discipleship. Founded in 2007, Paradosi is the Pacific Northwest’s first professional Christian ballet company, created with a single purpose: to share the love, hope, and beauty of Jesus Christ through dance and personal testimony.
The name Paradosi comes from the Greek word Paradosis, meaning “to give over” or “to surrender.” That word reflects the very heart of the ministry. Every dancer in Paradosi is a full-time volunteer choosing to surrender their talents and gifts in dance back to Jesus in worship, rather than pursue careers in the entertainment industry. Each one carries a deep love for Jesus and a passionate desire to see others come to know Him.
We are first and foremost a Christian ministry, not a performance company. Our focus is on worship, not entertainment which is why we share worship programs, not story ballets or theatrical performances. While guests may come expecting a show, many leave saying, “That wasn’t a performance... that was worship.”
