Each September elementary school classes have an opportunity to learn about animals and agriculture first hand at the Washington State Fair. The Educational Tours are held weekdays during The Fair.
The Educational Tour takes the teacher, students and chaperones through the Farm at Sillyville, Fair Farm and Pioneer Farm historical exhibit. The Farm @ Sillyville exhibit showcases Washington State agriculture through hands on activities in each of the five buildings. The tour also includes an instruction time at the Fair Farm animal exhibit along with time to pet the farm animals. The Pioneer Farm exhibit offers hands-on tours where students experience 1880s pioneer life through interactive activities like butter churning and grain grinding.
