4-H Students Present Horsemanship and Showmanship at the Puyallup Fair
Puyallup, WA – Oct. 5, 2009 – Although there were plenty of beautiful horses at the 2009 Puyallup Fair, students competing in the State 4-H Fair were not horsing around. These tough competitors from around the state were judged on many levels, and only a few made it to the top.
The winners are attached as follows:
• Intermediate Performance Section
• Intermediate Western Games Section
• Senior Performance Championships
• Senior Western Games Section
• National Equine Presentations
• Dressage/Equitation Over Fences Section
• Equine Groom Squad
The 4-H age groups are separated as follows:
Juniors—Age 8 or 3rd grade through 5th grade
Intermediates—6th through 8th grades
Seniors—9th grade through age 18
The Puyallup Fair first started in 1900.
