Last Weekend to “Do the Puyallup”

Puyallup Fair, the 8th Largest in North America, Runs Through Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009

Puyallup, WA – Sept. 24, 2009 – The Puyallup Fair is full of traditions, from onion burgers to Krusty Pups, Mutton Bustin’ to 4-H animal shows, and much more. The atmosphere is drawing to an end, with gates closing on Sunday, Sept. 27. It’s time for that last scone fix or Extreme Scream ride until the Spring Fair in April. A sampling of last weekend events include:

All Weekend:
• Al’s Brain – 3-D Journey Through the Human Brain – All day, SillyVille
• SpongeBob SquarePants – All day, SillyVille
• Animals of the World – All day, J Barn
• The Extreme Scream – All day
• SillyVille and Midway rides – All day, SillyVille
• Fair Farm and Planting Patch – All day, outside the Purple Gate
• Sheep Show, Open Class – 10:00 a.m., Large Show arena
• Pumpkin Carving – 11:00 a.m., south end of the Pavilion
• Trout Fishing, Pellet Gun Target Shooting, and Snowshoeing on Straw – for kids – 12:00 p.m., Northwest Outdoors
• Mutton Bustin’ – Noon, 2 pm, 4:30 p.m., 6:30 pm weekends, Green Gate area

Saturday, Sept. 26
• Sea Gals – 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Showplace Stage
• Puyallup Student Talent Show – 11:00 a.m., Communities In Schools Stage
• Lads and Ladies Lead – 7:30 p.m., Large Show Arena
• Third Day / TobyMac – 7:30 p.m., Grandstand, tickets available at Ticketmaster

Sunday, Sept. 27
• Habitat for Humanity Dedication Ceremony – 1:00 p.m., near Paulhamus Arena
• Draft Horse and Driving Demonstrations – 2:00 p.m., Paulhamus arena
• Disney’s High School Musical, Summer Celebration – 2:30 p.m. Grandstand
• The Puyallup Cup (sheep competition) – Concluding open class sheep shows, Large Show arena
