Angel Delivers Piglets at Puyallup Fair – Ten, and Counting

Puyallup, WA – Sept. 16, 2009 – There are always new things to discover at the 2009 Puyallup Fair. Just ask Angel, a sow who has so far delivered 10 piglets – and counting – as of 8:00 p.m. this evening. Erica Luxem of Edgewood was tending to Angel as she gave birth to a litter – a first-time experience for Erica, who is handling it like a pro.

Two upcoming features at the Fair include:

• Monster Truck Showdown
  Friday night means load trucks and lots of monster action. Tickets available at Ticketmaster for this HUGE event. Adults are $22, Students (6-18 years) are $18, and Kids (3-5 years) are $5. Seating is first-come, first seated. Includes Fair admission, Pit Party prior to event for ticketholders, and ride a monster truck for $5.
  
• Meet Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch Duo
  Meet the Time Bandit’s captain, Johnathan Hillstrand, along with his son and fisherman, Scott from noon to 9 pm Friday – Sunday, Sept. 18-20. Get their autographs or pose for a photo with them. Purchase tickets to the Deadliest Dinner on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. for only $35 at www.thefair.com. This is a fundraiser for the Puyallup Fair Foundation.
