4-H Announces State Champions in Fibers and Four-Legged Animals
Puyallup, WA – Oct. 5, 2009 – Nursery rhymes and winter sweaters have nothing on the 4-H llama, and sheep and fleece goat entries at the Puyallup Fair. The winners of each category are attached.
The 4-H age groups are separated as follows:
Juniors—Age 8 or 3rd grade through 5th grade
Intermediates—6th through 8th grades
Seniors—9th grade through age 18
The Puyallup Fair first started in 1900. This Pacific Northwest tradition is one of the top ten fairs in the world in attendance, and features big name entertainment, the PRCA Rodeo, rides, exhibits, food, flowers, and animals.
