- Ghirardelli Chocolate Championship

Come participate in this tasty chocolate championship and bring your most decadent chocolate recipe for a dessert or treat, using at least one of the Ghirardelli premium baking products. Bring your creating to the Home Arts Department on the 2nd floor of the Pavilion between 5 pm and 7 pm on Mon, Sept. 12 to enter. Judging begins at 7:30 pm. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Join us for the Great American SPAM Championship contest on Wed, Sept. 14 at 10 am. This year's theme is "Best Breakfast with SPAM". Enter your easiest, most creative and tastiest recipes featuring your favorite SPAM variety, and up to 10 other ingredietns. To participate, you must pre-register by Sept. 1.

- Salsa Showdown

This contest is sure to be hot! Bring your taste-bud-tingling, healthful, easy to prepare, intensely flavored mixture of vegetables or fruits, herbs and spices to the Home Arts Department in the 2nd floor of the Pavilion between 5 pm and 7 pm on Thu, Sept. 15. Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Our panel of celebrated judges will begin tasting at 7:30 pm. See if your salsa sensation can take the heat!

- C&H Parent-Child Christmas Cookie Contest

Kids, grab your mom or dad, roll up your sleeves and get baking! Come up with your best Christmas-themed cookie using C&H sugar and bring it the Home Arts Department on the 2nd floor of the Pavilion between 10 am and noon on Fri, Sept. 16 to enter. Judging begins at 1 pm. To participate, you must pre-register by Sept. 1.

Bake your Peach Pie bring it the Home Arts Department on the 2nd floor of the Pavilion between 10 am and noon on Mon, Sept. 19 to enter. Judging begins at 1 pm. To participate, you must pre-register by Sept. 1. Participants must be at least 16 years old.

- The Original Famous Fair Scone Contest

Join is this favorite Fair tradition and bake your version of a scone using “The Original Famous Fair Scone and Shortcake Mix” as part of your recipe. Each winner receives a ribbon and a gift basket. Pre-register by Sept 1 to enter. Bring your scones to the Home Arts Department in the 2nd floor of the Pavilion between 10 am and noon on Wed, Sept. 22 to enter. Judging begins at 1 pm. Participants must be at least 16 years old.
