    This year's special art exhibit features the work of Charley Harper (1922-2007). Harper was a Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist, best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints, posters and book illustrations.

    During his career, Harper illustrated numerous books, notably The Golden Book of Biology, magazines such as Ford Times, as well as many prints, posters, and other works. His subjects focused on natural, with birds as a prominent feature. Harper often created works for many nature-based organizations, among them the National Park Service; Cincinnati Zoo; Cincinnati Nature Center; Hamilton County (Ohio) Park District; and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Pennsylvania.

    In partnership with the Puyallup Fair, Habitat for Humanity is building a complete home, foundation to roof during this year's Fair. The finished home will be complete with appliances, and after the Fair will be transferred to a nearby lot for the Patterson family. Come check out the daily progress located near Paulhamus Arena.

    The Puyallup Fair Western Rodeo Parade is a great way to kick off the start of the Puyallup Fair. The annual Cattle Drive starts at 10 am and travels down Meridian Street in downtown Puyallup.

    Join us for music in Pioneer Park starting from 9 am - 10 am.

    This is a non-motorized parade, including equestrian drill teams, draft horse hitches, military marching bands, great musical entertainment, royalty, and cowboys on horseback.

    It’s an hour-long event you won’t want to miss. Enjoy the parade, then wander down to the Fairgrounds before noon to take advantage of FREE gate admission from 10 am - Noon.

They've since won national vocal competitions, sung for the President of the United States, and have been fortunate enough to share the stage with such talented fellow entertainers as Trisha Yearwood, Montgomery Gentry, The Beach Boys, Tanya Tucker, and Colin Ray, just to name a few, all while continuing their tradition of outreach performances and workshops supporting music in schools throughout the Northwest.

    Mutton Bustin' is similar to the world it imitates - bull riding. Contestants ages 6 years and younger and less than 60 lbs. attempt to last six seconds on a sheep that's as unpredictable as a bull. What could be more fun for a 6-year-old than holding onto a sheep and lasting 6 seconds!

    Qualifying rounds lead up to the championship performances. Everyone who wants to ride gets to ride. Sheep are released from a chute, just like a bull riding competition, and take the rider to the other side of the arena. It's tough to hold on! These young riders excite the crowd, and everyone cheers them on. Prizes, trophies, buckles are the awards that are given to the riders. Shows daily. Cost to compete is $10.
