Background on service

For the past 20 years. KIWANIS has operated shuttle service from the Best Western Park Plaza / Holiday Inn on South Hill to the Fair’s Green Gate. This service has been provided by club volunteers and the fare has been by donation.  Most riders say this has been “the best kept secret of the Fair”.

This year THE PUYALLUP ELKS will provide additional help, enabling the expansion of service to two new locations on weekends. Shuttle service is provided with club members donating their time, and net proceeds going back into the community for youth and senior citizen activities.

Special needs riders - Pierce Transit SHUTTLE

Specialized transportation is available for registered SHUTTLE customers. Call Pierce Transit at 253-581-8100 one to five days in advance to schedule your trip. SHUTTLE drops off and picks up in the Blue Gate parking lot at the Washington State Fair.

Note: to assist with the City of Puyallup's traffic control plan, Pierce Transit does not service stops between 7th Ave and 14th Ave on Meridian, Sept. 6-22. This affects route 402.

Due to budget constraints, Pierce Transit no long offers direct “Fair Express” service to the Blue gate.
