Special needs riders - Pierce Transit SHUTTLE

Specialized transportation is available for registered SHUTTLE customers. Call Pierce Transit at 253-581-8000, option 2, one to five days in advance to schedule your trip. SHUTTLE drops off and picks up in the Blue Gate parking lot at the Washington State Fair.

Note: to assist with the City of Puyallup's traffic control plan, Pierce Transit does not service stops between 7th Ave and 14th Ave on Meridian, except for Blue Gate Service, Sept. 5-21. This affects routes 402 and 425.

Background on service

For the past 20 years. KIWANIS has operated shuttle service from the Best Western Park Plaza / Holiday Inn on South Hill to the Fair’s Green Gate. This service has been provided by club volunteers and the fare has been by donation.  Most riders say this has been “the best kept secret of the Fair”.

This year THE PUYALLUP ELKS will provide additional help, enabling the expansion of service to two new locations on weekends. Shuttle service is provided with club members donating their time, and net proceeds going back into the community for youth and senior citizen activities.

Puyallup Connector

Pierce Transit’s new Demonstration Route 425 is another convenient way to get to the Washington State Fair. Direct transit service is available from downtown Puyallup and South Hill with trips every 30 minutes, seven days a week. Stops are located on Meridian to provide easy access to activities at the Washington State Fair Events Center. The Puyallup Connector is easily recognized with its Puyallup Connector logo. For more information on schedule and fare information, visit Pierce Transit’s website or call Pierce Transit Customer Services at 253-581-8000.
