Washington State Fair concert line-up announcements kick off with Dierks Bentley
Tickets go on sale Feb. 6, 10 a.m. at www.thefair.com/concerts
Puyallup, WA – Feb. 1, 2016 –After topping the charts with 13 #1 hits including “What Was I Thinkin’,” “Come a Little Closer,” “Drunk on a Plane” and “Say You Do,” taking home multiple CMA and ACM awards and racking up 12 GRAMMY nominations, platinum selling country singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley shows no signs of slowing down with his eighth studio album, Black, ready to be released.
Tickets for the Thursday, Sept. 22 Dierks Bentley concert, which is part of the Washington State Fair’s 2016 Columbia Bank Concert Series, will go on sale Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $100 for Golden Circle, $80 and $65, and include Fair gate admission. Tickets will be available on the Fair website, http://www.thefair.com/fun/details/dierks-bentley_1 or by phone (888) 559-FAIR (3247) daily, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. PDT. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Washington State Fair’s Box Office at 9th Ave SW and Meridian Street on Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Online and phone purchases are subject to standard processing fees. Tickets purchased on site will be charged a $2 per ticket service fee.
To make it a very special evening, ticket holders to the concert can purchase a Dierks Bentley Pre-Show Party ticket for $38.00 each, held in the Fair VIP Tent, inside the Gold Gate. These tickets do not include tickets to the concert. The price includes a catered barbecue dinner by The Vault Catering, one complimentary beverage and a dessert bar. Enjoy a fun party atmosphere with a 94.1 KMPS emcee. There will be games and prizes, and no-host bar drink specials. A VIP lanyard is included in the cost. Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. All pre-show party ticketholders will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a front row seat upgrade for two! Must be present when announced at 6:30 p.m. to win.

Frederick Dierks Bentley was born in Phoenix on November 20, 1975, and caught the music bug early on. By the time he was 13 he taught himself to play the guitar, and shortly after listened to
Hank Williams songs, and was hooked on country music. He spent one year at the University of Vermont, before moving to Vanderbilt University so he could be in the Nashville atmosphere.
Dierks signed with Capitol Nashville in 2003, and soon after released his self-titled debut album. It is certified platinum in the United States, as is his follow-up, Modern Day Drifter. His third album, Long Trip Alone is certified gold.
In 2008 he released a greatest hits package, followed up in 2009 by his fourth album, Feel That Fire. 2010 brought a bluegrass studio album, Up on the Ridge, followed by Home, and Riser. Black will release in early 2016. Dierks has 18 singles on the country singles chart, with 13 of those designated #1. Four more of his country singles have reached #5 on the chart. He is a member of the Grand Ol’ Opry.
