Spring Fair Poster Project

The Washington State Fair has worked with the Puyallup School District hosting a Spring Fair poster project since 2008. The project consists of competition in one division - junior high art students. The theme of the 2017 project focused on an artistic look at the Spring Fair.

Judges had a very difficult challenge narrowing down the winning artwork. They awarded ribbons to the top three students, and their schools received gift cards for art supplies. Each participating school also received a $100 gift card for art supplies.
In addition to the top three winning art pieces in each division, honorable mention art will be on display throughout the Spring Fair, April 20 - 23, 2017 in the 1st floor of the Pavilion.

Junior high art teachers used this project to teach their students about posters, and the elements necessary to create an easy-to-read and appealing poster.  Art mediums ranged from crayons and colored pencils to oils, watercolors and poster paints.
